Dear Louis Suarez-Potts,

the  Italian  free  software  association Associazione  Software  Libero
<http://softwarelibero.it>,  the  only  Italian  associate of  the  Free
Software Foundation Europe <http://fsfeurope.org>,  would like to make a
statement  in favour  of the  Italian  lang project  for the  OpenOffice
suite.

We think that  such a project would  do a lot for the  diffusion of free
software in Italy, and for allowing Italians to take advantage of a much
needed state-of-the-art, free software office suite.
