Dear Karim:
there will be a conference on computation that will host also a session
on
open source in Bari, Italy from Sept. 25-27, 2002, and the topic is
"Open
Source and New Means to Protect Intellectual Property". The web site is:
http://www-ictserv.poliba.it/aica2002/
The organizer of the session is is Prof. Andrea Bonaccorsi, from
Sant'Anna
School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. Abstract proposals should go to his
email address, within the end of May (preferably):
bonaccorsi a sssup.it
Proposal submission from European scholars working on OS is particularly
encouraged; but proposals from scholars all over the world are welcome
and
all interested should submit an abstract.
I'm also sending a copy of this email to Paolo Pumilia who told me about
it
and organized the preliminaries; to Prof. Bonaccorsi; to Mark Miller;
and to
the Italian OS email list (run by
Pumilia)(http://sii.it/mailman/listinfo/opensource).
Can you be so kind as to forward it to everyone on the OS MIT list (and
whoever you think could be interested)?
Thanks,
Giampaolo.
