Andrea, thanks for the question.

To our knowledge, Acacia has never claimed that RealNetworks' products or 
technology infringes their patents.

Acacia has not contacted RealNetworks regarding our technology. Our 
understanding is that Acacia appears to be targeting companies based on 
specific ways in which some website operators run their services -- not the 
streaming media technology itself.

RealNetworks, of course, has a number of fundamental patents relating to 
our streaming media technology, and many other patent applications are 
currently pending.  The Helix Community members are able to take advantage 
of key RealNetworks intellectual property by licensing Helix DNA components 
under our community and public source licenses.
