Document leak shows threat to Dutch open source ambitions

  The Dutch government  has been working with  Microsoft on a  deal to
  provide all government desktops with  Microsoft software. Last week,
  it appeared that the government had negotiated  a price of eur.  120
  per desktop per year for a five year period for 250,000+ desktops --
  an order that would total an approximate  150 million euros (us$ 201
  million).  Earlier parliamentary   questions have been  asked.   The
  following  article, which is a  translation of  this Dutch Webwereld
  article, discusses internal  documents from the association of Dutch
  Cities (VNG)  that  prove the deal  is  even bigger than  previously
  suspected.
