Bernhard,
I'm trying and do the translation job for Italian. Am I still in time ?
I'll do my best but I cannot guarantee, because of the tight schedule.
I'm taking the original Italian texts from
http://www2.europarl.eu.int/omk/sipade2?SAME_LEVEL=1&LEVEL=4&NAV=X&PUBREF=-//EP//TEXT+REPORT+A5-2003-0238+0+DOC+XML+V0//IT
is that correct ?

Dear Spanish and Italian supporters of the call for action:
http://swpat.ffii.org/papers/eubsa-swpat0202/demands/index.en.html
We need your help in the final stage of the software patent directive.
The debate on the directive *will happen* tomorrow, Tuesday 22 Sept
in Strasbourg, voting is planned for Wednesday 23.
Regarding the vote and the debate, we need your help:
Note the open letter to the Parliament by Linus Torvalds:
http://www.effi.org/patentit/patents_torvalds_cox.txt
It ends with:
"To that end we would suggest following FFII's voting recommendations
on this directive."
We want to send these voting recommendations to the Spanish and Italian
Members of the European Parliament, but *need* your *urgent* help for
translating them to Spanish and Italian.
The english text which contains these voting recommendations is found at:
http://swpat.ffii.org/papers/eubsa-swpat0202/plen0309/index.en.html
The *amendment texts* themselfes can be taken from the official translations,
you only need to translate the recommendation texts("Note" and "Synopsis")
yourself.
An description how this is done, is found at:
http://wiki.ael.be/index.php/TranslatingTheAnalysis
We need your help on this *today*.
PEASE subscribe the translation mailinglist for getting help:
http://lists.ffii.org/mailman/listinfo/traduk/
You can join our
IRC channel "#bxl-ffii"
at the
IRC server irc.debian.org
if you have and IRC client like xchat to get help from other
people which already translate to other languages.
Sincerely,
Bernhard Kaindl, FFII, in behalf of Holger Blasum, FFII
