Dear supporter of the Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure e.V.,

we at the FFII are dedicated to free and competitive software markets, genuine
open standards and patent systems with lower barriers to competition. As
experts in digital matters we are often consulted by politicians. When you
notice digital policies going wrong, it's often quite late in the process.

Do you wonder how you as a citizen can shape EU digital policies at an early
stage? Below you find a few opportunities listed, pending official European
Commission surveys and consultations:

- on the re-use of public sector information (open until 30 Nov 2010)
  [open data, e-government]
  http://ec.europa.eu/yourvoice/ipm/forms/dispatch?form=psidirective2010

- on the future EU MEDIA programme (open until 30 Nov 2010)
[funding priorities for digital video production]

http://ec.europa.eu/culture/media/programme/overview/2007/consultation/index_en.htm

- on the future EU Culture programme (open until 15 Dec 2010)
[cultural and linguistic diversity, artistic production]
  http://ec.europa.eu/culture/our-programmes-and-actions/doc2805_en.htm

- on personal data protection in the EU (open until 15 Jan 2011)
  [data protection, privacy, digital rights]

http://ec.europa.eu/justice/news/consulting_public/news_consulting_0006_en.htm

- on the European Single Market Act (open until Feb 2011)
  [patenting, innovation policy, single market]
