THEME AND PROGRAM

The first edition of the Insubria International Summer School on
Open Source Software (IISSOSS) welcomes students, academics and
professionals in industry and Public Administrations to learn on the
latest findings in the field of Open Source and Free Software.

The invited lecturers are internationally recognised research,
industrial and community leaders and will cover very relevant topics
for Open Source and Free Software, including product evaluation,
process evaluation, quality, testing, marketing, tools, licenses and
more.

The School program will be structured in morning and afternoon lectures.

SCHOOL LOCATION

The Open Source Summer School is located in the University Campus of
the Università dell'Insubria (Como, Via Valleggio 11), a few hundred
meters from the train station (Como Borghi), the city center, 4 km
to the Swiss border and 40 km from Milan. It is also easily
reachable from the Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, Milan Orio al Serio
and Lugano Agno airports.



REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION

Registration fees are:
500 € for early registration (deadline: June 20, 2011)
750 € for late registration (deadline: July 20, 2011)
They include admission to all lectures, copy of the slides and other
materials prepared by the lecturers, coffee breaks, luncheons, and
social event (dinner).
