France leads the European open source market, with penetration in IT services 
and software higher than that of other countries, says the French company 
Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC) in a survey published during the Paris Open 
Source Summit (POSS 2017). 
In France, the open source market reached EUR 4.46 billion in 2017, with 
annual growth of 8.3%. Open source represents 9.9% of the total French IT 
market, compared to 6.4% in Germany and 6.5% in the United Kingdom.
